About us

The main customer for the products developed, manufactured and sold by ACTEGA is the packaging industry. ACTEGA is the market leader in overprint varnishes and sealing compounds for closures and glass containers. ACTEGA is a technical leader for water-based can sealants and flexible packaging coatings.

Our packaging coatings deliver an appealing look and provide for an extended shelf-life of the contents. Soft surfaces render scratch resistance, metal does not corrode, and paper becomes repellent against water or oil.

Our sealing products create a tight link between two contact surfaces, such as glass vs. metal (bottle closures) or metal vs. metal (can ends); they ensure that the filling good (e.g. beer) remains inside the packaging and any contaminants (e.g. oxygen, which causes beer to go stale) remain outside.
