On the print technology front Apex Machine has developed a new offset printing method (FLEXAPEX™) combining the benefits of flexographic and offset print technologies. Examples of the technology can seen at their stand in Hall 15, Stand 23-6.

The Flexapex™ process uses UV cured liquid inks and permits the laying down of substantially heavier ink films than is possible with conventional offset inking systems, providing an ink laydown that is more comparable with silk screening or rotary gravure printing. The process is solvent (VOC) free, which is an important factor in many plants today.

A further benefit of the Flexapex™ process is highly predictable quality and density repeatability on re-runs.
