World record – entering a new print dimension with Hansaboard!

In cooperation with Smurfit Kappa, Koenig & Bauer, print press manufactures,  will present at this year’s Drupa its new Rapida 145 high speed print press, running on Hansaboard 300 gsm  from Smurfit Kappa Hoya Papier und Karton GmbH.

At the Pre-Drupa-Event in mid March 2012, Koenig & Bauer AG already provided an insight into essential innovations of the new Rapida 145 to an exclusive circle of users. On this occasion the new Rapida 145 has been presented for the first time and established at this machine a new world speed record in size 6-printing during which Hansaboard 300 gsm was printed at 17.000 sheets per hour!
We would like to pass our congratulations to KBA for this new world record and are pleased our Hansaboard GD2 has made its contribution to this success.

Visitors to this year’s Drupa will be able to see this world record breaking machine running three times per day  in combination with our Hansaboard GD2.
