We have developed new technologies for digital print finishing within the program UNIVERSE DIGITALINE and fully updated the ASTER range of automatic book sewing machines with introduction of the new models asterEVO - asterPRO and asterTOP that can satisfy all the customers’ needs.

NEW PROGRAM UNIVERSE DIGITALINE

Meccanotecnica has developed the UNIVERSE DIGITALINE program, a new and complete range of machines which produce a completely finished book starting from digitally printed single sheets, through four steps as automatic sewing, pressing & endpapering, binding and trimming.
Customers will have the option to buy the entire program or individual machines as the “UNIVERSE SEWING” or the “UNIVERSE BINDING” in their stand-alone configuration.
The UNIVERSE DIGITALINE series is the optimal solution not only for publishing products as yearbooks, photo albums, event commemoration books etc. but also for short runs as minor author novels, catalogues and single encyclopedia volume reprints.

NEW RANGE OF ASTER AUTOMATIC BOOK SEWING MACHINES

asterEL
It has been designed as “entry level” automatic book sewing machine, either for those markets where sewing technology has to be easily approached or as “satellite” machine able to support the production.
Nevertheless, asterEL offers the same basic features and engineering quality found on larger models of the prestigious aster range.

asterEVO
Based on aster best seller models, this new EVOLUTION sewing machine will allow entry level customers to make one step forward to best technology. It is a medium range machine featured with the latest solutions aimed to grant high performance up to 200 cycles/min speed.

asterPRO.
The goal: EXCELLENCE.

asterPRO has been designed with this goal in mind. It incorporates all the cutting-edge technology used by MECCANOTECNICA for automatic book sewing machines.
MECCANOTECNICA presents its most complete machine, its flagship. The perfect balance between automated processes and precision, speed and reliability. The ideal solution for all production needs.
asterPRO offers the new maximum spine size of 440mm or 520mm, with speeds up to 200 cycles/min for both versions. asterPRO has all the features – from the active thread cutting system and new conic head punch needles to accelerator speed adjustment for each signature – able to process any kind of products with customization and quality never seen before.

asterTOP.
The goal: SPEED.

asterTOP has achieved an extremely high sewing speed compared to 220 cycles/min of the previous aster models. It is the ideal solution when a significant increase in output, using just one machine, is a “must”. Perfect for high performance gathering and sewing lines linked to a back-gluing or finishing line.
asterTOP has three cam boxes: two for all the sewing movements and one for the infeed. These allow to minimize vibrations and the need for maintenance despite the high output speeds.
New motorization, permanent use of the sewing stitch closest to the accelerator wheel, maximum 310 mm spine size: all features that guarantee the paper to move as little as possible, without any increase in paper stress, despite the machine speed is now significantly higher.
