Continuously increasing machine speeds and film web widths are requirements which can hardly be met using conventional rollers made of steel and aluminum. Inometa rollers are made of CFRP, a modern, state-of-the-art designer material which can meet even particularly high-end requirements. CFRP offers a rigidity-weight-ratio which is much higher than that of aluminum or steel. For rotating bodies, this means higher critical speeds with less deflection and mass moment of inertia.
