Nearly all procedures based on pulp or paper in printing, packing or related industries take place on the product surface.

In order to avoid the production of wastage due to surface defects it is necessary to inspect the surface. Especially for this purpose the company Doyle Systems Inc. has developed special products.

The Landsco Surface Inspection Light illuminates the surface to be inspected with a carefully controlled parallel beam of light.

Dust, dirt, fibres bonded on one end, scratches etc. are brightly illuminated on the side showing to the light and build on the other side dark shadows. The combination of light and shadow gives the impression of amplification and enables the viewer to recognize powder grains of less than 20µm size without the help of a magnifier.

Since it is a trouble-free procedure and the lamps are robust enough to be used on heavy machines, ongoing inspections can easily be realized. The staff can discover failures early enough and resolve them, even if the failure is too unimportant and rare for the production of wastage. This makes working processes successful and profitable.
