The compact device for high-resolution direct engraving in the flexographic sector

The PremiumSetter is the key component in the PremiumFlexo process. Unlike the automation-capable S1600, the compact S1300 is designed for manual operation. At drupa, we will be presenting the S1300 together with its unbeatable team of the PremiumProfiler and elastomer printing forms featuring sleeves and plates. It will also be demonstrated in conjunction with the simple and efficient job ticket workflow.

Fully automatic cylinder production

Together with the partner companies of Heliograph Holding, HELL will be showcasing an AutoCon production line for the fully-automated manufacture of gravure cylinders. In this production line, a master computer manages all the stages of cylinder manufacture – from electroplating and surface treatment to engraving. AutoCon makes automatic cylinder production a reality.

Minimizing engraving tolerances

CellEye is the only cutting procedure for engraving machines that is based on volume measurement. Using CellEye reduces engraving tolerances (cylinder to cylinder), a benefit that increases repeat accuracy and reduces start-up waste. A CellEye exhibiting many new and improved features will be on display at drupa.

Unrivaled performance - perfect quality

Drupa will mark the world premiere of the Cellaxy C50 from HELL – a new, innovative member of the Cellaxy family. Just like its big brothers C500 and C508, the compact C50 is equipped with a high-power laser and a maintenance-free optical head. Coupled with robust and high-precision mechanics, the C50 delivers optimum engraving results in copper, steel, and many other materials. The C50 from HELL reaches previously unattainable processing speeds and thus opens up completely new market opportunities for users. Live daily demonstrations at drupa will enable visitors to see the straightforward operation and impressive performance of the C50 for themselves.

Efficient reliability in production

There is a clear trend towards the digital SoftFormProof, with the FormProof data being written to a PDF file instead of the plotter and checked on a large-format monitor. The SoftFormProof workflow cuts costs and opens up new opportunities. With this in mind, HELL will be showcasing the next FormProof/BookletProof generation at drupa this year. In Version 7.0, FormProof and BookletProof data are written to the same PDF file. This makes it easy to toggle between sheet and book view on the monitor display. It is also possible to show or hide additional information, such as trim lines or page names. This raft of innovations is rounded off by a new paper color simulation function.

Turbocharged cylinder engraving - now in Version 6

TIFF direct engraving has become the global standard in cylinder engraving. Job-ticket-based engraving with HelioDisk advances this standard still further and ensures maximum productivity and transparency. The new MIS Connect function enables fully automatic job ticket creation from any management information system. In addition, MIS Connect makes it possible to query status and quality data during a production run. The new HelioDesk engraving certificate meets in-house requirements for quality assurance and print shop requirements for input checks.

The entry level engraver

The HelioKlischograph E1 is an economical entry-level engraver for cylinder engraving. Robust and easy to operate, this machine engraves at a maximum speed of 5 kHz and is the ideal solution for emerging markets in particular. This is the first time that the E1 is being launched outside China.

The successful model

The HelioKlischograph K5 was launched at drupa 2008 and was a real hit right from the outset. It offers a very attractive price/performance ratio without compromising on the trusted HELL quality. The K5 is the first choice when the emphasis is not on automation. A HelioKlischograph K5 with an extended range of functions is to be presented at drupa 2012.

The benchmark in engraving

With more than 600 machines sold, the HelioKlischograph K500 is the standard output device for cylinder engraving. Its engraving speed of up to 24 kHz is unrivaled in the industry. Whether it is run as an entry-level unit or as an output device in fully automatic production lines, the K500 impresses across the board. At drupa, a K500 with many new features, including automatic changeover of the engraving system, will be demonstrated live.

The mark of successful print shops

The HelioKlischograph K6 is the undisputed industry standard for publication gravure. HELL has been able to boost the already high productivity of the K6 further still through systematic model enhancement. For instance, active web shrinkage compensation takes the speed of the K6’s automatic setup process to a new high. Furthermore, the StatusManager interface and booster package are now supplied as standard. HELL will be presenting the K6 at drupa as part of an interactive video show, with individual components and functions being demonstrated in a simple and transparent fashion.

Equipped with the latest Adobe Print Engine© technology, HelioLinkPro now offers an extremely fast and, above all, reliable solution for the future challenges posed by increasingly complex PDF data. Perfect print results start with the page workflow. With HQH, HelioLinkPro is the only engraving workflow worldwide to optimize all pages for the specific requirements of gravure printing.

Highly productive broadband engraving system

The newHelioSprintBCbroadband engraving system engraves in the 54 to 100 l/cm screen range (effective screen 44 – 144 l/cm) and meets all the requirements of decorative and packaging printing.HelioSprintBCboasts engraving speeds of 7 kHz (54, 58 l/cm screens) and 8 kHz (60 – 100 l/cm screens) and very uniform cell geometries.

12 kHz high - performance engraving system

With over 30 installations, HelioSprint III is the world’s fastest engraving system. This high-performance system boasts an engraving frequency of 12 kHz across the entire screen range from 60 to 100 l/cm (effective screen 49 – 144 l/cm) and an engraving depth of 65 µm. What’s more, HelioSprint III offers automatic slide foot adjustment.

Hybrid engraving system for all areas of application

The HelioXtreme 32 hybrid engraving system masters two engraving processes – conventional vibration engraving at 8kHz and high-resolution XtremeEngravingat 12kHz. With a screen range from 15 to 144 l/cm and a write resolution of up to 540 l/cm, this engraving system meets all the requirements of technical cylinders, decorative and packaging cylinders all the way through to security printing.

Simple networking of form data production

Automation and centralization are key elements in cutting costs and increasing productivity in form data production. The MIS Connect interface software and the FormManager play an important part in meeting these requirements. As an alternative to the relatively complex JDF connection, HELL will be using drupa as an opportunity to unveil a simple and flexible Excel© interface solution. Version 3.0 – a significantly improved version of the FormManager – will also be on display. For the first time, visitors will be able to gather information on our automated solutions for job management and on the generation of collating marks.

The alternative to laser - based methods

High-resolution engraving with XtremeEngraving decouples the write resolution of the HelioKlischograph system from the engraving screen. XtremeEngraving combines ultrafine resolutions with high print densities. With an engraving speed of up to 24 kHz and a new write resolution of up to 540 l/cm, XtremeEngraving now offers a real alternative to laser-based methods. The new coarse screens up to 14 l/cm, e.g. for technical cylinders, will be presented for the first time at drupa.
