Eltex Static Combi Cleaner SCC
14.03.2012

Cleaning of three-dimensional surfaces
Most plastic and synthetic materials in use today have a very strong tendency to create static surface charges, with the effect that the surfaces have a similarly powerful tendency to attract air-borne particles. This can result in major problems and loss of quality during certain processes. Eliminating dust and dirt settling on three-dimensional and structured surfaces with conventional methods is notoriously difficult. Due to their geometry, components such as product carriers that are in continuous revolving operation are also very difficult to clean down. The dynamic ionizing blower station has been specially developed for applications such as these.

Mode of function
Ionizing bars attached at the inlet and outlet point neutralize the plastic surfaces. The patented variable-speed rotary nozzles mounted inbetween capture the particles carrying static charges and propel them in the direction of the extraction channel where they are eliminated safely and thoroughly. The integrated variable-speed control of the cleaning nozzles keeps an even and pressure-independent rotary speed that, in turn, guarantees a consistent and excellent cleaning result with its pulsating and highly efficient air cleaning effect. Rotary speed and air velocity can be adapted to optimized cleaning requirements.

Eltex charging systems for many applications
14.03.2012

e.g. Electrostatic charges applied at the inserting drum
Applying static charges to the lower copy stabilizes the whole unit and ensures straight-edge insertion. The copy stream runs smoothly and trouble-free through the collator.

e.g. Charging book covers
Electrostatic charging will safely fix the cover in place after joining and will prevent the joints folding up. Finishing the copies will proceed smoothly and more costeffectively.

Eltex discharging systems for many applications
14.03.2012

e.g. Discharging at the sheet delivery
Target-specific discharging ensures that the copies flow smoothly and guarantees optimal printability and straightedged down-stacking of the sheets in the delivery. The result: brilliant print quality and efficient work processes.

e.g. Discharging at the measuring frame of the paper machine
Electrostatic discharging ahead of the measuring frame ensures accurate measuring results and a consistent paper quality. The potential hazard caused by static charges is minimized.

e.g. Discharging in the disposal of paper trimmings
Discharging bars mounted in the drop chute discharge the paper trimmings, allowing them to drop into the disposal unit without blockages. No more machine stops; finishing becomes more efficient and cost-effective.

For perfect results in gravure printing -
new printing assist system ESA EASYCHARGE Exi

The system works without charging bars and without insulated bearings and is suitable both for sleeves and standard impression rollers. With its extremely low power demand of less than one Watt per meter of web width, the system also ensures the lowest possible charges when printing flexible materials (film). The new intrinsically safe ESA EASYCHARGE Exi system is also approved for the explosion hazard group IIB in package gravure printing. It guarantees perfect ink transfer with voltages up to 1560 V and excellent printing results with unlimited impression roller widths.
ESA EASYCHARGE Exi is the world’s safest ESA system and is protected by patents inGermany and inEurope.

ESA systems GNH61 and GNN75
22.03.2012

GNH61 Top Loading

The infeed paper or film web is discharged by the discharge bar to eliminate any existing residual static charges. The nip voltage required in the printing nip is transferred into the conductive layer of the impression roller coating via the impression roller bar. The nip voltage (300...1000 V DC) causes the ink to transfer from the cells to the substrate with point-to-point accuracy and without high impression roller pressure. The discharge bar mounted on the outlet side eliminates any residual charges on the surface of paper or the film. A 2-layer impression roller is used for the ESA GNH61 system. The impression roller guarantees the even distribution of the charge in the printing nip.

GNN75 Core Charging

The infeed paper or film web is discharged by the discharge bar to eliminate any existing residual static charges. The required charge for the generation of the nip voltage will be fed directly via the bearing of the impression roller. The electric connection is made by a ball spring contact. The impression roller has to be insulated from surrounding press parts. The nip voltage (300...900 V DC) causes the ink to transfer from the cells to the substrate with point-to-point accuracy and without high impression roller pressure. The discharge bar mounted on the outlet side eliminates any residual charges on the surface of paper or the film. A 1-layer impression roller is used for the ESA GNN75 system. The impression roller guarantees the even distribution of the charge in the printing nip. The GNN75 can only be delivered in arrangement with the press manufacturer.
