Print Expert Suite is available in four different
editions: classic suite, medium suite,
extended suite and premium suite.

Print Expert
contains four single modules described in
the following.

Proof Checker
Proof Checker evaluates analog or digital proofs
and digital or classic offset prints. With one scan
measurement of the Proof Zebrastrip® it can be
ascertained within seconds whether a proof conforms
to the definitions of a print standard such
as Globalstandard System Brunner®.

Plate Checker
Plate Checker is the fastest printing plate measuring
system and extremely suitable for calibration
and monitoring of digital plate imaging. The
transfer characteristic curves are recorded with
the aid of 20 halftone steps on the Plate Zebrastrip
®. Correct CtP imaging is an important
basis for fast color matching.

Print Curve Checker
Print Curve Checker enables print characteristic
curves to be quickly monitored and analyzed.
With one measurement of the printed Print Zebrastrip
®, 20 tone value steps are recorded and
graphically portrayed in an Isocontours® diagram.
The user can see at a glance whether the
desired standard has been maintained.

Print Checker
Print Checker evaluates prints during production
or evaluation of the entire print run. With a scan
measurement over a short sequence of the control
strip (cmyk process colors) it can be determined
within seconds whether the print results
conform with the print standard.

InkZone INSTRUMENT FLIGHT® is the new product from the strategic alliance between System Brunner and Digital Information. InkZone INSTRUMENT FLIGHT supports the spectrophotometric scan measuring devices from X-Rite and Techkon. The system can be retrofitted to sheetfed offset presses from all established manufacturers, whereby companies with a mixed machine park benefit especially because they can now use the same color control technology for all their presses. Existing InkZone installations are easily upgraded with InkZone INSTRUMENT FLIGHT, which gives customers a high degree of investment security.

InkZone INSTRUMENT FLIGHT is equipped with all functions and lets the user choose the control strategy for color control as well as the standard – ISO 12647-2/PSO, G7 or the comprehensive System Brunner Globalstandards.

KBA QualiTronic INSTRUMENT FLIGHT® is the premier tool for inline colour control based on grey-balance prioritisation with over 30 process parameters. It has been expanded to include new balance control apps and new global standards. The unique five-star appraisal system notifies the press operator of the print quality achieved under the selected standard and can ensure compliance with different standard specifications every day.

KBA ErgoTronic INSTRUMENT FLIGHT® offers the same range of functions, but with offline measurement and online ink-key control.

KBA QualiTronic/ErgoTronic PSO-Match controls the process variables defined in ISO 12647-2 using System Brunner software. While conventional systems can only control and regulate the reproduction of individual colours in solids, with PSO-Match it is possible to include, and maintain the optimum balance of, solid densities based on L*a*b* chromaticity coordinates, dot gain and mid-tone spread. Users can thus comply with ISO 12647-2 quasi automatically, which is a must for ISO-accredited firms.

With digital production, quite a number of traditional manufacturing steps are merged and as a result a step for step quality check is often no longer possible. And with the diversity of editing possibilities with today’s software, the constantly growing number of new processes, new output systems, new consumable materials, and frequent software updates, the uncertainty on the part of the users is increasing all the time.
