webvideo_star ttb is a digital motorized web viewing system which combines the characteristics of a front-to-back observation, along with a normal web monitoring feature. The mechanical connection of two digital cameras allows the kind of high precision needed by the operator, to evaluate the front-to-back register.

The operator has the option to select, via touch screen, between two different display modes for the front-to-back monitoring: split-screen or picture-in-picture.

Standard functions

_Split-screen mode: The picture of the front camera (on the left hand) and the mirrored picture of the back camera (on the right hand) are shown side by side. By means of the motorised traverse bars the cameras can move to, and display, any position in the printing image.

_Picture-in-picture mode: The picture of the front camera (big picture) interleaves with the mirrored picture of the back camera (small picture). The displayed image section can be magnified, demagnified or moved freely by means of the positioning keys. This allows an evaluation of the front-to-back printing at any position.

Optimised printing process through spectral inline colour measurement

Today the subject of colour is getting more and more important. Quality criteria, such as ensuring the colour consistency throughout production, are an important key factor in the production process. The new spectral inline colour measurement system inco_check from eltromat was designed exactly for this purpose.

inco_check is characterized by a simple and intuitive operation. Our goal is to support the operator in their tasks with the flexible handling of the system.

The system is working during production at printing speeds of up to 600 m/min (1,968.5 feet/min) and delivering spectral measuring results (L*a*b*C*H*) regularly and accurately. This way you ensure the control of the colour consistency in important places during the production process at any time.
With inco_check it is very easy to do the setting of up to 12 measuring points by a finger tip anywhere in the printed image. During the measurement the exact colour values (L*a*b*C*H*), the colour variations (as dEab, dEcmc or dE2000), the history and the trend of the measurement results are displayed.

Additionally, even during set-up you may compare the pre-press PDF to the actual print image so that defective or wrong printing plates/cylinders are recognised at the earliest stage possible.

If waste occurs during production, you may tag it automatically during the printing process or remove it. If you would like to remove waste in a following process, each defect is documented. But not every print defect you would like to see during production automatically causes waste. An optional step offers the possibility to re-evaluate the defect protocol in order to get the maximum out of the production. The defect protocol is the basis for your rewinder control so that it may operate at maximum speed and stop right at the spot where waste is to be removed.
