SOFTAL’s Linear Plasma surface treating technology brings the benefits of corona treatment to materials of arbitrary thickness.

Linear Plasma treatment is used to modify the surfaces of boards, sheets, foams, corrugated boards, and rein-forced materials to improve adhesion of printing inks, lacquers, adhesives, and other coatings.

The compact design allows easy integration into existing extrusion and converting lines. A Linear Plasma system is specified in combination with a complete set of supplies for straight forward installation and save operation.

-K ozone obliterator

The SORBAL-K ozone obliterator is used for standard cleaning processes of exhaust air contaminated by corona stations. The cleaning effect applies to dusts and aerosols as well as to the ozone created by the corona.The SORBAL-K unit is a stand-alone high-performance filter. All materials and gaskets are corrosion resistant. The housing and the components are made either of sheet metal with corrosion resistant coating or stainless steel. To ensure maximum efficiency of the exhaust air cleaning process, the filter housing is by default equipped with three inline filter stages. Circumferential, permanently elastic gaskets and clamping mechanisms make sure that the individual filter stages are tightly sealed. A differential pressure gauge with a human-readable scale indicates any required filter change for the first two filter stages.

To check the cleaning efficiency, the SORBAL-K ozone obliterator is equipped with connectors for ozone measurement devices which are installed upstream and downstream of the catalyzer block.
