ACTEGA Terra offers oil based primers for drip off systems. Available are both primers in combination with waterbased drip off systems (matt/gloss effects) as well as with UV based drip off systems (gloss/structure effects).

TerraWet stands for a highly specialised product programme of waterbased coatings for the graphic arts industry. Apart from high gloss coatings, gloss coatings and matt coatings, the company offers haptic coatings, blister coatings, barrier coatings, heat resistant coatings, antislip coatings, calander coatings, playing card coatings, primers, inmould label coatings and many more.

Especially for food packaging printing, ACTEGA Terra provides FoodSafe coatings. These coatings stand for three quality characteristics at the same time: low migration, certified for the direct food contact with dry and fatty foodstuffs, compliant to the Swiss Ordinance. Only coatings that fulfill all criteria, obtain the FoodSafe seal by ACTEGA Terra. In addition, FoodSafe coatings go without unrequested constitutional components such as mineral oil (MOSH, MOAH), heavy metals and phthalates. All FoodSafe coatings are adapted to low odour.

TerraGreen is not only waterbased and free of solvents, it is also the innovative coating for the graphic arts industry as it is made of renewable resources (percentage of renewable resources in the coating is 90% or above). In contrast to regular waterbased coatings, TerraGreen is based on resins and waxes from nature. Its resource base is independent of petrochemicals and the shortage of fossil resources. TerraGreen is at least 75% biodegradable; the volatile organic compounds emitted to the ambient air during production do not account for more than 0,2%

TerraEffekt stands for a variety of eye-catching waterbased effect coatings. Available are pearlescent coatings, gold and silver coatings, opaque white and various closely aligned drip off systems. Depending on the primer, fine and distinct matt/gloss effects are possible.

TerraGloss UV coatings are based on carefully selected and tested raw materials. They convince by means of advanced formulations and a high reactivity. The product programme includes high gloss coatings and matt coatings, coatings with a plastic haptic effect as well as glueable and low migration coatings.

Apart from coatings for UV offline and UV inline applications on UV inks, the product programme is focused on UV coatings for double coating presses. These closely coordinated systems of TerraWet primer und TerraGloss UV coating enable a very good gloss, a low draw-back and a good adhesion.

Under the name TerraEffekt, ACTEGA Terra offers UV based silver coating, UV based opaque white as well as eye-catching UV based drip off systems. Depending on the primer (oil based, UV curing) fine and strong gloss/structure effects are possible.
