Semi-automatic spiral forming and inserting machine for metal wire spirals

The semi-automatic spiral binding machine 42 SE binds pre-punched books, blocs, calendars and brochures with tinned or nylon-coated wire. Binding of oversized calendar sheets or different size sheets is also possible provided that the oversized sheets correspond to the unbound side.

The wire is fed from a standing storage (barrel or spool). Special rectifying tools take out any twist and straighten the wire. The wire is guided via guide rollers to the mandreal which forms the diameter of the spiral.

The pre-punched product is place onto the book supports. By starting the machine the spiral is introduced into the perforation. The needed spiral length is adjusted at the electronic wire lenght's control. The machine stops automatically when the wire reached the required length. The spiral is cut off and both spiral ends are bend inwards. The machine is ready for the next cycle.

A special support is available for incorporating calendar hangers.

The operation cycle is controlled by a foot pedal and knee switch for a comfortable seated position. Both hands are free for feeding and taking off.

The simple operation and short change-over times for other jobs make the machine profitable even for small runs or medium production.

Workflow:

The product is positioned on the binding table and clamped. If a KAS is installed the calendar hanger will be put between the closing bars and the binding is closed. If the function "enjecting" is activated, the product is ejected to the right side.
Optionally available for this machine is a spare parts package. ECL 360

Electric closing machine for wire comb bindings

Approx. 400 closings/hour are possible (depending on product, book thickness, format and operator) with or without calendar hangers. Calendar hangers have to be added manually before closing. Footswitch operation leaves both hands free for binding. For all binding elements up to 38 mm = 1 1/2" (independent from the pitch).

A safety circuit prevents finger injuries and guarantees optimum protection whilst working. Robust metal construction for use in book binderies, copy shops, in-house printers, etc. Quick and easy wire size adjustment diameters in just a few seconds.

In combination with the WP 300, the ECL 360 becomes a powerful binding system.

Inline 500

The Inline 500 consists of the following components: ASM 5ß0 punching module and ABL 500, automatic binding machine.

Large format range: 70 mm up to 500 mm, diameters from 3/16" (5,5 mm) to 1" (25,4 mm).

The MOBI 360 is the ideal solution to bind books and calendars from min. 52 mm with a max. working width 360 mm. Skip bindings are possible.

The touch screen control panel is very user friendly, providing quick format changes.

The machine is completely equipped for processing 12 diameters from 1/4" to 1 1/4" (6,9 mm to 32,0 mm) with simple adjustment of the wire diameter and no additional tools required.

Manual hanging of the pre-punched product on the binding element is easy. A footswitch activates the transport to the binding station.

After binding the product is delivered either to the standard height adjustable delivery box or to the optional shingle conveyor. The MOBI 500 is the ideal solution to bind books and calendars from min. 50 mm to max. 500 mm working width. Skip-bindings are possible.

The touch-screen control panel is very user-friendly, and, therefore, provides rapid format changes.

The machine is completely equipped for processing 13 diameters from 3/16" to 1 1/4" (0,5 to 32,0 mm). Each diameter requires a guide plate. The guide plates can be changed easily within seconds.

Manually hanging the pre-punched product in the binding element is easy. A footswitch activates the transport to the binding station.

After binding the product is outfed either to the standard height-adjustable cover box or to the optional height-adjustable and continuously-running shingle conveyor with adjustable overlap setting.

Electric desk top punch

Electric universal desk top punch machine with exangeable punching dies and horizontal paper feed for low to medium run lengths.

Standard punching die: 2-part die with thumb cut for punching books as well as calendars, therefore, a second die has not to be acquired. All punching dies for Renz Ring Wire® binding and plastic binding are in QSA-execution (quick size adjustment = quick cancellation of punch pins). Thumb Cut Punch

Thumb cut punch for the punching of thumb cuts for calendar hangers. For the production of wall calendars in low volumes.

Using wire calendar hangers, a thumb cut is necessary so that the hanger can turn without any problem. In combination with punch and binding machine RENZ® SRW 360, punching pins can be de-selecteted enabling many formats of calendars to be produced.

RENZ® pouch laminators work with pouches. The handling is very simple. Just insert your paper into the film pouch and seal it with the pouch laminator.

Four heated rollers ensure the best possible laminated results. Individual temperature and speed setting for all film thicknesses. LEDs indicate warm-up phase, rate of throughput and ready state.

Stand-by function: If the machine ist not used for 30 minutes after warming up, the temperature is automatically reduced to 50/60°. Press the button to heat up the machine again to the most recently set temperature and the machine is once more ready for operation. Adjustable lamination speed for all function settings and optical speed indicator. Return function.
