The Combined Universal Tab Inserter is Vacuumatic's compact tab inserter system, enabling accurate tabbing and batching of sheeted piles with the minimum requirements of space and investment cost.

Vaccumatic's SMART 1 tab insertion system has been designed to offer tabbing as cost-effectively as possible on presses and sheeters that are equipped with their own programmable counting or sheet inspection system.

Such machines can provide a 24v pulse signal to fire and the cut the tab, meaning that there is no need for the Electronic Counter Control unit or sensor that are required to drive and control the VUTI tab inserter system.

SMART 1 is often supplied direct to press and sheeter manufacturers to be factory fitted, and sometimes as a replacement for old or worn tab insertion systems.

The Vacuumatic Universal Tab Inserter is the top-end solution for highly accurate online counting and batching of sheet delivered products such as sheet paper, commercial print and packaging. Mounted to the delivery of almost any sheeter or printing press, the VUTI system enables operators to count and batch good copy, isolate areas of spoil or waste and return an accurate count of delivered piles.

Supplied with either a pedestal or mounting kit, the VUTI marker tabs can be triggered by signals from the press or sheeter counting system or from one of a range of independent sensor systems that are available from Vacuumatic. Vacuumatic’s Reel Tab Inserter System is a unique product offering for users of reel-to-reel printing presses and converting equipment. The RTIS is the only web marking product available on the market that fires adhesive tabs onto the web, without physical contact with the material. This minimizes the possibility of web damage as the tab is applied.

The RTIS enables operators to accurately isolate splices, mill joins and areas of spoil from good copy or product. This makes it easier to remove such sections during rewind or subsequent finishing processes, minimising the potential for unnecessary waste and increasing levels of productivity. The unit can be fitted to almost all types of press or converting machinery and can be operated either manually or via a trigger signal from an automated web inspection system.
