Collating systems are available with a “Jacket” option; a single-page folded product—such as preprinted section, comics, kraft page, or main section—designated for use as a container or cover for the inserts. Unlike competitive systems, CMC Collating Systems feed the jacket at the end of the collation process rather than collating individual inserts in to the jacket. The collated insert set is aligned and jacket added prior to the stacking process. Able to accommodate a wide range of jacket sizes and easy changover, the system also features live jacket back-up to increase productivity.

Adding a jacket to the collation process offers advertising space for additional revenue to sender, recipient does not have to remove any outer wrap and jacket provides additional protection against package being easily dumped.

Innovative and simple insertion area inserts collated documents into the envelope and then drives envelope to the output with a single continuous motion transport.

The CMC GAD-JET is the latest innovation for pick and place applications. Capable of feeding a paperboard display card, multiple products can be automatically picked using vacuum cups and accurately placed on the card. Products can be affixed to card with hot-melt gluing system. Typically completed by hand, the GAD-JET automates the process of creating point of sale, product display cards and promotional packaging.
