NESSMANN - Coating plates  for spots in coating on offset presses

Our STRIP PLATE® is a double lay plate for cutting out, for an effective and economical use in the packaging-, catalogue- and color printing, where is necessary to have a high quality coating with spots. The method of process out of the press is easy and quick. During the plate making it's not necessary to stop the press, an easy setting up in the press and no washing stops during the press in move are the advantages of our spot coating plate.

Water-based acrylic coatings and UV drying coating are suitable for all our spot coating plates. The surface is designed with ink-repellent finish, preventing the build-up of ink and reducing the washing intervals by as much as 99%. An excellent coating with sharp edges distinguishes the STRIP PLATE®. Print runs of as much as 500,000 and more can be reached.

Processing should preferably be made with a CAD plotter, but is also feasible with our blue line FOTOCOAT and for manual cutting out.

STRIP PLATE® 13 KR for direct coat application in coating units with and without Anilox roller.

The base plate is made of 0.40 mm aluminium in web-offset quality. The surface consists of Shore 75° PVC 0.90 mm in thickness or in 0,75 mm, the STRIP PLATE® 13 KR therefore has a total thickness of 1.30 mm or 1,15 mm. The resulting relief depth of 0.90 mm or 0,75 mm is perfectly attuned to all offset-presses with direct coating, but also for presses with coater module and Anilox roller and chambered doctor blade.

With formats below 840 x 1050 mm, the base plate can also be supplied in 0.30 mm aluminium and a total thickness of 1.20 mm, allowing the use of the STRIP PLATE® also for presses with automatic plate insertion devices.

STRIP PLATE® 5 L for the indirect coating application via damping systems and ink units.

The base plate is made of aluminium in web-offset quality. The surface consists of a soft PVC coating with a 75°Shore hardness 0.50 mm in thickness. The relatively soft surface prevents the blanket and the application roller from being cut.

STRIP PLATE® 5 L 90: The base plate is made of aluminium 0.40 mm in thickness, total thickness 0.90 mm. The resulting relief depth of 0.50 mm is exactly right for a clean coating with excellent edge sharpness. All formats can be supplied.

STRIP PLATE® 5 L 80: The base plate is made of 0.30 mm aluminium and is sufficient for use in small and medium-sized offset presses up to a maximum size of 840 x 1050 mm, especially for bearer-to-bearer presses

STRIP PLATE® POLY

STRIP PLATE® POLY for direct coat application in coating units with and without Anilox roller.

This new kind of varnishing plate for cutting by hand or on CAM-plotter is on a base of 0,35 mm thick polyester. The STRIP PLATE® POLY is more flexible than an aluminium base plate. The total thickness are various from 1,15 to 1,35 mm with various relief from 0,80 to 1,00 mm one thickness, the POLY is transparent. All plates are with an anti ink building up surface. Another advantage is that it's no need to use a heater table for stripping out operation, because the base plate is so smooth that the adhesion is some lighter, but is strong enough for long runs. Heating the plate make the stripping easier.

The STRIP PLATE® POLY can be used on all machines with direct coating, but is also suitable for machines with clamping bars for blankets. The plate can be equipped with all current bars

STRIP PLATE® POLY 85 for the indirect coating application via damping systems and ink units. The base plate is made of 0,35 mm polyester and the surface is in soft PVC with 0,50 mm thickness.

SPOT COAT - Self-adhesive backing foils for spot coating

The SPOT COAT 50 TR and SPOT COAT TR 50 WM self-adhesive backing foil is 0,50 mm thick, transparent, crystal-clear and designed for use in indirect coating on all offset presses via water damping pans or inking units.

SPOT COAT 50 TR
with a hardness of approximately 75° Shore D, but easily cut by hand, the thickness is 0,50 mm. Designed specifically for UV coating, but also suitable for acrylic and printing varnishes. We deliver the SPOT COAT 50 TR in rolls of 10 m and in a largeness of 1300 mm.

SPOT COAT TR 50 WM
with a hardness of 85° Shore A, the thickness is 0,50 mm. Excellent cutting properties by hand or on a fleet bed plotter. No burs on the cutting edges which may cause cuts and scores on the application roller or in the blanket. It is designed for use with acrylic varnishes. We deliver the SPOT COAT TR 50 WM in rolls of 10 m and in a largeness of 1150 mm.

The SPOT COAT TR 800

for the application in offset presses with coating unit. With a hardness of 85° Shore A. The operational area is for simple spots in packaging and simply printings for partial varnishing. This foil is for water base and UV-varnish, the special surface is suitable for both sorts. It is maybe impossible that the ink built up because the surface refuses the ink. The thickness is 0,8 mm within the best relief in use of coating units. The foil can be stuck on an aluminium plate or also on polyester foils, that's opinion of the user. SPOT COAT TR 800 is transparent, so it's possible to cut the sign of the offset plate by seeing through the foil. In use of polyester it is possible to cut on a light table with the use of the film montage, it's easy to cut the spots. We deliver the SPOT COAT TR 800 in rolls of 10 m and in a largeness of 1300 mm. This foil is a solution for an easy and low cost coating plate for partial varnishing

Instructions:
The plate making method is the same for both foils, the foils are not copy able. The SPOT COAT foil is to be glued to a clean and grease-free offset aluminium plate. For cutting it is necessary to prepare a printing plate ready for use, attach the foil and cut out the unprinted areas. The design is visible through the transparent foil, resulting in a clean cut true to register. The SPOT COAT TR 50 WM and SPOT COAT TR 800 is also designed for cutting on the fleet bed plotter.
