The SheetMaster system applies a laser perforated number or logo into paper based security documents.

The first system of this kind was supplied to the ING-Postbank in 1995. ING-Postbank needed to secure their cheques as they were the frequent victim of fraud. IAI's system was used to perforate a unique number through the hologram in the Postbank cheques. Fraud of the document seized to exist, and the bank made a return on investment within two months!

Many improvements in design have been made since that time. However, the simple but effective idea of perforating a unique number through another security feature has remained.

At Drupa 2012 we will show our latest generation of the system: the SheetMaster Flex. The system is designed for maximum flexibility so it can be used to process a variety of documents. Other functionalities, such as reading of preprinted information and printing a number have been added. A web-based system is also available for documents printed from roll to roll. This version is called the WebMaster Flex.
