Wetzel produces fiber glass sleeves for a variety of printing purposes for endless flexographic printing. We can cover many different applications thanks to in-house vulcanization with many different types of rubber.

Sleeves for emboss application

Wetzel produces aluminium sleeves that are used for embossing cigarette packaging. The basis of this application is the development of a rotative embossing machine that sets new standards in embossing by using aluminium sleeves.

Printing roller for rotogravure

We manufacture printing rollers for rotogravure using state-of-the-art technology.

The application areas are in packaging printing (flexible packaging, labels, cigarette packaging) and for decorative purposes (gift wrapping, wallpaper, furniture / floor laminates etc.).

Wetzel covers the entire manufacturing process of printing roller manufacture, i.e. from design production to monitoring the printing process.

Many years of manufacturing embossing rollers for a wide variety of applications is the basis for extensive know-how, which Wetzel allows to flow into the design and manufacture of embossing machines.

The machine portfolio covers different applications from different market areas, such as:

the metal industry, the wallpaper industry, the hygiene and tissue industry and the cigarette packaging industry.

Design and reproduction

As a full service provider for rotogravure, flexographic printing and embossing rollers, Wetzel looks after the entire processing chain from the initial processes onwards, and therefore also accepts responsibility for the final product right from the very start.

Taking process-specific and customer-specific information into consideration when working out the digital templates produces reliable and repeatable results.

Wetzel also provides the design and reproduction service independently of printing forme development, and therefore produces digital templates for rotogravure, flexographic printing, offset printing and embossing applications.

The manufacture of embossing rollers requires many different technologies, which must be adapted to the respective requirements of the product. Thanks to modern technology and extensive know-how in the use and combining of the different technologies, Wetzel has been providing maximum quality for many different applications for decades.
