VE 4000+ CARTON is an off-line inspection system for defect detection on folding boxes, and controlls a sorter to remove defective products.

As a cost effective alternative to inline quality control of packaging during the printing or in subsequent processing, Mabeg Systems GmbH and
Vision Experts GmbH have developed an offline sorting system in partner-ship. For this the inspection system VE 4000+CARTON  has been integrated with the Modular Blank Inspector from Mabeg Systems. This offline quality control sorts packages which have been printed and die cut, but still not folded and stuck, according to adjustable tolerances.

Defect detection
With an image resolution of less than 0.01mm2 all types of printing errors
such as staining, colour deviations, die cut errors are reliably detected.
Moreover, the sorting process can work with different tolerances for product areas or for whole kinds of products.

Performance data
The system runs at a speed of up to 150m/min. Depending on the package
size, up to 30,000 per hour can be sorted. The cuts can be of variable size up to 350mm wide. Faulty packaging will be automatically removed, the perfect cuts will be collected at the end of the machine.

PDF comparison for pharmaceutical packaging
The inspection system for the checking of pharmaceutical packaging is
alternatively deliverable in a monochrome version with PDF comparison.
Single cuts are compared with the customer’s PDF to prevent content mistakes such as mixing up fonts and version mistakes. This function replaces a
separate PDF inspection system with scanner.

Print inspection for metal decorated sheets

The VE 4000+ METAL guarantees precision detection of printing flaws on metal decorated sheets. Foreign bodies, spots, ink splatters, smearing and toning, ink interruptions, register faults, damaged rubber blankets and printing plates are detected reliably. The fault tolerances can be fine-tuned in line with customer requirements. This ensures reproducible quality. With spectral colour measurement, you are able to detect very subtle colour changes during the print process, and to take appropriate measures, by means of measuring spots anywhere on the sheet.

VISION EXPERT 4000 PAPER ist eine Inspektionslösung, die jeden Fehler fotografisch erfasst und im Falle von bestimmten Fehlerklassen ergänzend einen Videofilm aufzeichnet. Darüber hinaus unterscheidet die Software zwischen Fehlern und Klebestellen, die ebenfalls visuell aufgezeichnet und für Optimierung beim Rollenwechsel genutzt werden.

Das Inspektionssystem VISION EXPERT 4000 PAPER ist in jede Rollendruckmaschine integrierbar und überwacht beliebig breite Rollen. Die Kamera wird mit der Beleuchtung am Abroller angebracht, die Steuereinheit komfortabel in den Leitstand integriert.
VISION EXPERT 4000 PAPER erkennt auch kleinste Fehler in der Papierrolle. Unregelmäßigkeiten werden in Fehlerarten kategorisiert und detailliert dokumentiert.
