DESCRIPTION

Aquarius inks are water based inks formulated for general use on papers and boards (both coated and uncoated).

TYPICAL PROPERTIES

The properties of Aquarius inks can be summarised generally as-Good dry and wet rub when properly dried during printing. High colour strength and good transfer properties allowing reduction if required. (As with all water based inks frost damage is irreversible - store above 5° C)

SUBSTRATES

Aquarius inks are suitable for printing on paper, multi bags, corrugated boards and tissue. Aquarius inks dry quickly mainly by absorption into the substrate and, dependent on substrate, can be over-printed in line and reeled or converted directly into bags etc. without smearing/scratching. The use of warm, high airflow driers allows printing at relatively high speeds on today's modern presses.

DESCRIPTION

The Glacier range of inks has been developed to meet the requirements of today's customers who require high quality, bright/strong water based inks. These inks have been developed for labels, pre-print, & high quality post-print work.

PROPERTIES

• Bright and strong with good transfer properties allowing a degree of reduction.*
• Low foaming
• Good gloss
• Good rub and scuff resistance.
• Good wet rub resistance.

(As with all water-based inks frost damage is irreversible - store above 5°C).

*Pantone base range MAG57878 through to MAG57891 are supplied at press ready viscosity.

SUBSTRATES

Glacier inks are suitable for printing gloss labels, coated & uncoated paper surfaces, including multibags & corrugated board. Glacier inks dry quickly mainly by absorption into the substrate and can be overprinted in line and reeled or converted directly into bags etc. without smearing/scratching. Glacier inks are not suitable for printing uncoated thermal papers.

DESCRIPTION

Sapphire is a high performance water based ink for printing onto high density and low density polythene. As a range it offers properties consistent with high street carrier bags.

TYPICAL

Bright & strong with good transfer properties.

PROPERTIES

• Excellent dry rub.
• Good wet-wrinkle resistance (develops 2-3 hours after printing)
• Good gloss.
• Water reducible.
• (As with all water-based inks frost damage is irreversible - store above 5°C).

A slow drying version is available for use at low print speeds - however this takes longer to obtain maximum water resistance and depends on the drying capability of the press.

SUBSTRATES

Gives adhesion to a wide variety of substrates such as high and low- density treated polythene, & treated polypropylene.

N.B. Treated films should have a treatment level of 40-42 dynes/cm.
