28.03.2012
The :Dotrix Modular combines AGFA’s single pass inkjet technology with Edale’s traditional printing and converting expertise, to deliver a truly industrial and reliable digital solution. This modular approach means that the machine configuration is flexible and can incorporate a wide range of traditional technologies that include, but are not limited to; flexographic printing and coating, lamination, foiling, die cutting and slitting. Digital print is achieved using the latest single pass UV inkjet technology. Up to 6 colour bars containing drop on demand piezo inkjet heads are mounted in a fixed array across the web, and each head delivers up to 8 levels of greyscale to maximise image quality. UV inkjet provides excellent ink adhesion to a wide range of substrates including paper, film and board, as well as delivering strong, resilient and light fast colours. Available with CMYK + OV colour bars the :Dotrix print engine covers 90% of the pantone colours. The combination of traditional flexographic printing technology with single pass UV inkjet means that a wide range of products can be printed and converted. Popular applications include: flexible packaging, folding carton, point of sale/purchase and labels.
