The ELSNER Model AFR-series Rewinders are designed to produce household rolled products such as food film, baking papers and aluminum foil—all on the same machine. The Model AFR-series Rewinder is capable of speeds up to 3000 feet per minute (915 meters per minute) or 48 rolls per minute. Its ease of operation and maintenance make it a popular choice by industry leaders. The Elsner Model V-5-30 Automatic Rewinder is a high performance, high-production rewinding machine used to produce retail size coreless rolls as well as traditional rolls on cores. This machine has replaced the Elsner Model V-4-30 Rewinder after years of being a “workhorse” to the industry.

The machine can handle practically any kind of web from 12 pound (30 gsm) tissue up to 60 pound (90 gsm) kraft including, but not limited to, laminated foil, polyesters, giftwrap, plastic, cellophane, wax paper, shelving paper, adhesive shelf covering, freezer paper, and many others. Certain selected products such as medium weight giftwrap, kraft paper, and self adhesive decorative covering with integral release sheet can be converted into pure coreless rolls.

The ELSNER Model LS-MS-15 Fully Automatic Log Roll Splitter is designed to be coupled directly with an ELSNER Rewinder. It can be optionally hand fed for off-line utilization as well. The machine handles unclosed rolls up to 5-1/2” (140 mm) diameter. Hot-melt glue is used to hold the roll closed. The multi-blade cutting unit processes the log into pre-determined finished widths (1.75” to 2.75” finished products from 20” to 30” logs). Elsner also updated the operator interface to ease use of the machine.
The complete line consists of the ELSNER Model LS-MS-15 Fully Automatic Log Roll Splitter coupled to the popular ELSNER Model V-5-30 Fully Automatic Rewinder. The Rewinder is equipped with a dual cantilevered unwind designed specifically for this type of product for quick mill roll changes.
As with all their recent machine builds Elsner incorporated features geared towards the ideals of World Class Manufacturing into this project. Elsner strives to provide machinery that serves its overall function while simplifying operating and maintenance practices. With this line, features such as color-coded adjustment fasteners, green operation zone on air gauges, adjustment and position scales and even a modem in the electrical cabinet for remote assistance were incorporated.
