The Perfect Proofer™ is an air driven device used to mimic flexographic presses. This ink proofing system systematically controls speed and pressure, until it matches your particular press. Once that speed and pressure is identified, those settings become the press “signature”.

The Colorsat Compact series is designed for fully automated and computerised dispensing of up to 32 different components and 2 on/off water or solvent valves. Alternative models are available for either solvent-based or water-based inks. A dispensing accuracy of 1 g (0.002 lb) is standard for maximum batch sizes up to 25 kg (~55 lb), with accuracy of 0.1 g available as an option. Each model is also available as a high (‘H’) version, for dispensing larger batches (up to 600 kg / ~ 1300 lb), see the table below for more information. Typically, Colorsat Compact systems are capable of dispensing a 20 kg (~44 lb) batch with four components in under two-and-a-half minutes.

Ink logistics solutions provider GSE Dispensing and Cerm, specialist in automation and business management solutions for the print industry, have co-developed a software package that enables the management of ink requirements to be integrated within the label printer’s forward planning and scheduling systems.The new interface provides information about availability, costing and traceability of ink recipes and base inks. Cerm exports production orders and required ink volumes per order to GSE Dispensing’s Ink Management Software (IMS). IMS formulates the ink recipes consumption rates and return inks per order, enabling an accurate calculation of ink costs per order. This information is exported to the Cerm software, giving the customer an immediate overview of ink costs per order and recipe availability.
