Premier Fount is a general purpose Fountain Solution for sheetfed or web applications.

Hammond Fountain Solutions are formulated to work well under the widest possible variety of operating conditions, and offer ease of use with quick clean start-ups. They will operate in both hard and soft water as they contain built-in softeners to normalize the incoming water and they may also be used with Reverse Osmosis systems.

All our Fountain Solutions are fully buffered and will therefore operate at a stable pH value of ± 4.8 irrespective of concentration. It is therefore necessary to ensure that automatic dosing systems work on conductivity rather than pH value.

The conductivity of the incoming water supply should be checked prior to first usage to establish the base reading.

We also recommend that supplementary regular checks be carried out on the conductivity of the incoming water to establish whether there are any fluctuations in the supply.
