Magnesium dies that can print in leather have a steep incline so that the image is placed straight on the foot. The image depth varies from 2 to 3 mm. The maximum size of the die is 102 x 76 cm. In order to avoid the staining of the edges, the dies are often sawn short at the image. The delivery time is a full working day. For processing your order, sending a black-and-white paper print or a file, is all that is needed.

Brass etched dies for foil print

The same product as the one mentioned above, but then engraved out of a brass plate. As brass is a bit stronger than magnesium, it is preferred over the latter when dealing with issues such as high volume printing, finer texts or leather that is difficult to print. Delivery time is around three working days: the maximum size is 37 x 30 cm. For this, you will have to send us a PDF or EPS file that is vector-based.

As a cost-effective alternative for the engraved cylindrical dies, Repro Hermans has developed thin printing plates for label printing. The thin foil plates are bent around the heated cylinder and secured with clips. These dies are mostly used by clients with Gallus and AB Graphic machines, but are in fact suitable for all rotary machines.
